Gratitude Sunday

I've been a little slack with my Gratitude Sunday posts of late unfortunately, so I thought it about time

I do one. I've kinda missed recapping the things I'm grateful for in my life.

My SIL's sister brought up a quote which said something like

"What if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you thanked God for today?"

Pure brilliance right there if you ask me!

So here goes...I'm thankful for:

- All the extra work the past week and a bit has brought (despite my very tired body)

- Beautiful days to wake up to

- Friends moving into my ward

- My new calling in Primary with the children at church, because despite how tiring they can be, they are totally worth it :D

- a new netball season starting up again this week

- a few new goals I've set for myself

- Being on the way to saving a set amount by the end of the year

- An awesome fireside tonight

- Promptings to do things

- 2 full MnM dispenser for when I need a little chocolate hit

- My brand new overlocker machine :D and at a bargain price!!

- Having a quick catch up with the parentals before they went away

- Dinner dates with friends

- A new month of daily photo challenges to complete

- The wonderful discover of sandwich thins...they're perfect for me

- My home and safety while so many in other parts of the world have lost so much

There is always something to be grateful for! So what are you grateful for at the moment?

It's been a while...

I didn't realise it at the time, but apparently I needed a break from blogging.

It's funny how things work out like that.

- First there was my final round of exams for my bachelor degree

- Then there was the agonising weeks of waiting for results

- Then the joy of finding out I will be graduating this month...though doing a walk through ceremony in December 

- I've spent a bunch of time with friends who I haven't had the time to catch up with

- I got my dad's old iphone and have been loving it

- I finished watch all of the Harry Potter movies again with Nelly

- I went to a friends wedding

- Another friend had her baby and I sewed a little pack of baby supplies 

- We had one of the worst customers at work

- I hosted a Trivia Night

- My friend Elle dropped off an amazingly delicious caramel apple

- I baked a huge batch of choc-chip cookies

- I went bowling with my brothers and SIL for an afternoon

- Went to Salamanca for a food filled morning

- Dominated in two different games of Monopoly

- Said goodbye to one housemate and hello to another one

So now that you're all caught up, it's time to move forward and have a little fun around here.

Update

Reality Check Time!

So last month I had two goals...and I completed them both! YAY!

- I didn't check my stats all month

- I go to 60 followers...well 62 and then someone left the bandwagon...so we sit at 61 for now

But this month I must aim higher...with 4 goals

March Goals:

- Get to 65 followers

- Guest Post x2

- Get to 35 'likes' on the Facebook page

- Get 1,600 pageviews

I want to help this blog and myself move forward so I have been setting goals all over the place. 

It is definitely keeping me accountable and making me try more.

You may have also noticed that I am now taking button swaps. Take a look at the 'Swap' tab up the top and get in contact if you're interested. There are still a few spots for the rest of this month if you're interested. 

I have also created a new e-mail account for this blog which is:

Over the next little while there will also be a few more changes.

Make and Change are definitely part of my life this year.

Quick Update

Since I suck at blogging while here in Japan...here is a quick run down of the past week...

*WARNING!! Lots of photos*

Monday 21st:

- Happy Birthday to my old man :D

- A bit of shopping at Loft...where you find the oddest things.

Anyone need a lucky poo?

- I managed to find some awesome Christmas lights!! I love Christmas!! :D

- And discovered that they'd put a Christmas tree up at school :D

Tuesday 22nd:

- Was a little less exciting

- Basically school and study

- Oh and a random washing machine that ended up in the classroom....

Wednesday 23rd:

- Was a holiday here in Japan...no idea what for though!

- I slept in! Might not sound amazing...but it was so nice to get a decent amount of sleep!

- It was raining a lot so I spent a lot of time indoors

- Aika came home after she went to her friends house and showed me...the CHRISTMAS things she bought!

Thursday 24th


- Saw a cop giving someone a ticket
- Ate Japanese Curry for lunch...
- Then was given it again at dinner...so good :D

Today 25th:

- After school we went and had Onigiri (essentially a rice triangle with some filling and wrapped in seaweed)...pretty good

- Had Mister Donut...delicious...but not as good as Krispy Kreme

Very cute though

- Then we played some games at Round 1

Pick a level...any level

- It was here that I had photo booth photos with random school girls

- I also got free hugs from strangers

- Enjoyed some Mos Burger for dinner and had a great chat with Caylee and Shi Hui 

Another awesome week in Japan!

Sorry I've been MIA over the last week...except for Gratitude Sunday.

Friday

- Made candles with Janelle for the 1st time...apparently its her new hobby

- Took sparkler pictures up the Mountain

Saturday

- Cleaned up my room and around the house

- Wrote my talk 

- Worked as a Pizza Delivery Girl for the night :D Fun Fun

Sunday

- Gave my talk

- Helped in Primary

- Drove home to see my family and had an awesome roast dinner and pumpkin soup!

Thank you Mama!!

Monday

- Got my hair cut and caught up with my friend..who cuts my hair :D

- Spent the afternoon with my SIL and niece and nephew

Then later 2 of my bros

- Washed all my clothes :D Love that my parents have a dryer!

- Saw my cat, which is now moved to the new house, for the first time in like 2 years

Tuesday

- Say goodbye to the family :'( too short!

- Drive back to Hobart...with beautiful weather! Come on Spring :D

- Went food shopping

- Watched The Princess Diaries 1&2 with Jess

- Chatted with MJ for a bit

- Slept for a VERY long time...oops

So there's a quick recap of what you've missed! Now to get back to reality and knuckle down on a couple things!
