So I'm doing an intensive Winter school at the moment...started today.
It is called Researching Family History.
I found out today that my Gran (Dad's mum) made books for the oldest children in her son's families...except the youngest son because he had no kids before she died.
I managed to get my cousin's copy (Dad's side).
Check out how thick that is!
I'll be honest, I cried while reading some of this because I never knew my grandparents. Family is so important to me and I wish I knew more of them better. I can't wait to meet them in the eternities.
I never knew that one book could change so much about myself. Learning about my family gives me more of an understanding of where I've come from. I am really excited to get into more of this.
I'm getting my sister's copy on Friday and I can't wait to see what it has on my Mum's family as well. My Gran was one heck of a woman. Even my lecturer recognised her name from my pedigree chart.

Family History is awesome isn't it! And it isn't just about the temple work side either like you have kind of said. It is about knowing them, wanting to get to know more about them. I remember sitting with Erin reading her book that was given, and having a lot of 'shock' and 'laughs'. Awesome stories.
