Studying

The only problem with coming to a country for a study program...is that you HAVE to study!

I have had to do a lot of work over the last little while and I am starting to feel it.
I am so grateful to be learning but some parts of Japanese really don't come easily to me and take a lot of work.

Tomorrow I have to do my second speech (as a part of a pair), but am just as nervous!
I hate giving speeches in English, let alone a foreign language.

This course is pushing me beyond my comfort zone and it is good.

I do enjoy it. It just is a lot of work.

Here's hoping I survive tomorrow...and the next lot of tests...then the tests when I get home.
It's good for me though :D

So far in Japan...

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick hello as I don't have my computer with me and am on the school's one.

So far in Japan I have:

- Almost been hit by someone on their bike...fun times :D
- Attempted to speak Japanese, though very broken for an entire day
- Walked for 2 hours around Fukuoka
- Been the only one in the group to bring my host families address with me
- Slept like a dead person
- Dreamt about trying to translate a whole bunch on sentences...and woke up very tired!
- Had a shower, Japanese style :D

Well that's it for now as we're about to have a welcome party.

Back to School

Yep, you read it right...

I am back at Uni!!

Feeling surprisingly happy about it. Much more positive now that I am there. I have goals for this semester and I really hope to achieve them.

I have survived my first week and am now into my second. So far so good.
Looks like my units are going to be good :D AND...I am done with Winter school. Had the exam on friday...glad that's over. Hopefully did well, will find out soon.

I like being a student...and am looking forward to my Bachelor being over soon...then on to teaching :D That'll be interesting.

What was your favourite thing about school as a kid?
Mine was definitely going on the camps and excursions

Changes

I have some HUGE changes going on...

I made the very scary decision to leave Uni for at least a semester.
It might not seem like such a big deal, but seriously to me it is.

In a way, being a student defined me.

I have been trying to deal with a whole lot of other things and Uni was just adding to the stress.

Now I am trying to find extra work, change habits, be a better person and sort out issues with people.

Life gets really complicated sometimes and I needed a break to focus on some things.

I've made the decision I feel is right for me, but it is still scary.

Here's to making progress and moving forward.

Exams are over!! :D YAY!!

I say this with so much pleasure! :D I have been so crazy busy with exams and essays over the last couple of weeks that it has been amazing to just waste the day away today. I have done a few things I needed to do but I have also just enjoyed some music and chilled. It has been wonderful! :D I officially love this feeling.

I can't credit getting through this on my own. It's been a very hard semester for me but I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that I have been seriously blessed.

You'd think I would do something nice after finishing my exams but I was so exhausted that it was nice just to relax. I had lunch with my friend Janelle (who also finished) and 2 of our friends from Devonport, Hannah and Kim. It was good to see them :D Afterwards Nelly and I did a little shopping, then I had to go to work.

I only had Ethan to look after today so he helped me out with the final touches on the Operation Christmas Child boxes. We took them to the drop off spot and got mini frozen floats from McDonalds (they are bliss!).

After work I went for a walk with Jess, had some dinner and then fell asleep watching a movie at her house. After being woken up I headed home and went to sleep straight away and slept for 11 hours. Not what I had planned to do but it was AMAZING!

Today I haven't done a lot but it has been good. I am relieved to have a short break and then next week start Spring School. Should be interesting!
